Common questions

How do points work?

You earn +10 for starting a block on time, +5 for each focus period you complete, and +10 for finishing a block.

How do streaks work?

Your streak grows each day you start every block you planned for that day. Miss one and the streak resets, and the parrot gets a little sleepy.

Can I change the focus timer?

Yes. The default is 25 minutes of focus and a 5-minute break. You can change both in the app.

When do reminders arrive?

Study Parrot reminds you 5 minutes before a block and again when it starts. Reminders are local notifications, so make sure notifications are allowed for Study Parrot in iOS Settings › Notifications.

How do parent reports work?

The Parents tab is unlocked with a parent subscription ($19.99/year or $2.99/month). With it, add up to five parent email addresses in the Parents tab. A report of your plan and progress goes out every Sunday evening. You can preview it, or send it right away, from the same tab. Remove an address there to stop reports going to it.

How do I delete my account?

Email info@prestonresearch.com from the address you signed in with. We’ll delete your account and all data on our servers within 30 days and confirm by email. See the privacy policy for details.
